Shabaid David, President/ Founder of Ehsas e Admiat
I am the Founder and the President of Ehsas-e-Admiat (Good Samaritan Ministry). I belong to an ordinary family consisting of six members. My father was a government servant of grade one so I was not born with a golden spoon in my mouth. In my childhood, I studied in a government school. Since, we were not a rich family, I had to leave my studies after matriculation for time being and worked as labourer to earn some money to get myself admitted in a college. After my intermediate, again I discontinued my studies and started working in a private firm to gather some fortune to continue my studies but this time I could not succeed in collecting the required amount. I therefore, completed my graduation as a private candidate. After that I got a reasonable job in a textile company. Thirst for higher education was still there in me which forced me to do my MBA Executive. |

Thanks Lord almighty that in spite of unfavourable circumstances, I was able to complete my studies to the extent which may win respectable livelihood for me and my family. This whole period was not as smooth as it has been mentioned above very smoothly. I had to suffer a lot: illness, starvation, lack of proper guidance, helplessness etc all disturbed me a lot. This crucible of unfavourable circumstances taught me a true lesson of life which is nothing else but to serve humanity. Now, I hold and maintain a spiritual compassion for every human being regardless of his/ her cast and creed. My role as the President of the organization provides me with a window to look into the miseries, the humanity is suffering from. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to play my part in being there for relieving humanity of its discomforts through providing friendship, guidance, mentoring and support to the suffering humanity so that it can reach to its full potential. It’s about instilling strong values and providing a shoulder to lean on. It’s about delivering guidance, support, understanding and compassion. It’s about listening without judgments and leading by example.
The areas on which I along with my team am working are Education, Health and Empowerment of Women with Professional Skills. Lack of education, deteriorated health and having no professional skills, I think, are the root causes of almost all inequalities and deprivations in a society. Therefore nipping the evil in the bud is my technique of winning over shackles of miseries.
My main responsibilities in the organization involve training staff and volunteers who work with Ehsase Admiat , developing our network throughout globe , raising financial support and seeking out new opportunities to start our work in new communities in partnership with local churches, schools and community groups
